College Student Hit By Car

A Cape Cod Community College student was struck by a motor vehicle on Tuesday morning. The Barnstable Police Department says it happened when the student used a crosswalk to go across Route 132 in front of the campus. The victim, an 18-year-old Carver woman, was reportedly thrown several feet and was transported to South Shore Hospital in Weymouth; police say she has since been released. The police department says the driver, Milenna Rodrigues of Centerville, is facing charges including driving without a license.
