Stray Bullet Hits Car

2/8/19

Mashpee Police are investigating where a bullet that struck a vehicle Friday morning came from.

The Cape Cod Times reports that the vehicle was traveling Northbound on South Sandwich Road around 8 A.M. when a bullet went through the rear window on drivers side.

Police officials tell the Times that the Mashpee Police, Environmental Police and the Barnstable County Sheriff’s Office are trying to determine where the bullet came from and are investigating the possibility it may have been fired by a hunter in the hunting area on Grenadier Lane.

There were no injuries and the investigation is on-going.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact the Mashpee Police Department.
