State Rep. Crocker Gets 3 Key Committee Assignments

State Representative Will Crocker (R-Centerville) has been given three key committee assignments for the 191st Legislative Session from leadership. Crocker will be serving on the Labor and Workforce Development and Housing Committees. He will serve as the Ranking Minority Member on the Mental Health, Substance Use, and Recovery Committee.

“I am thrilled to have received these committee assignments. I had requested these three committees with leadership as I recognize that each committee represents an issue that is integral to our Cape community. I am so pleased to be serving as the Ranking Minority Member on the Mental Health, Substance Use, and Recovery Committee, where I can continue to advocate for treatment and prevention programs for those afflicted with opiate addiction. Each committee deals with important issues facing the district; those being homelessness, affordable housing, lack of “career” oriented employment opportunities, and the opioid epidemic.”

“Representative Crocker has a long record of public service that dates back more than two decades,” said House Minority Leader Bradley H. Jones, Jr. (R-North Reading). “I am confident he will hit the ground running with his new committee assignments and will be a strong advocate for the residents of the Second Barnstable District.”

Crocker says he is gratified with the assignments as well as the faith the leadership has in him and looks forward to moving those issues ahead in the legislature.
