YPD Seeks Public's Help in Locating Whale Bone

The Yarmouth Police Department is seeking the public’s help in locating those responsible for the theft of a Right Whale jaw bone.

The bone was stolen on Wednesday, December 12, from the International Fund for Animal Welfare on Summer Street in Yarmouth Port.

Yarmouth Deputy Police Chief, Steven Xiarhos, says the jaw bone had been stored behind an outdoor storage area and is estimated to be worth a minimum of $5,000.

Anyone with information about the theft of the jaw bone is urged to contact the Yarmouth Police Department Detective Division.
