Latanowich Arraignment Date, Charges Set

The Cape and Islands District Attorney’s Office, on Monday, said the arraignment date for the man accused of killing Yarmouth K9 Sgt. Sean Gannon will be August 31st in Barnstable Superior Court.

Thomas Latanowich will face nine charges in connection with the murder of Gannon who, along with his K9 Partner Nero, was attempting to serve him with an arrest warrant. Nero was also shot in the incident but has recovered from his injuries.

 Latanowich has been charged with murder, aggravated assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, mistreating a police dog, and armed career criminal.
