The Keynote Speaker for the upcoming OneCape Summit has been disclosed.

Governor Charlie Baker is the choice for the 2018 OneCape Summit, scheduled for August 16 and 17 at the Wequassett Resort in Harwich. He and Lt. Governor Karyn Polito are scheduled to speak on the Summit's opening day.

The OneCape Summit is a forum for discussions on important issues affecting the region. It attracts over 300 attendees and features notable speakers from across all levels of government and the private sector.

This year the conference focuses on environmental, economic and community resilience.  Day one covers regional water quality and coastal resiliency and day two covers the economy, regional planning and policies, housing and infrastructure.  Participants will have the opportunity to attend both plenary and breakout sessions on topics related to local water quality planning, new and innovative water quality management strategies, stormwater management, and nature-based solutions for coastal resilience, as well as sessions on promoting resilient development, addressing housing needs through form-based code, and new regional policies to support economic development and protect important natural resources.
