Barnstable Police are warning the public of yet another telephone scam.
They want residents to be aware of someone making phone calls claiming to be part of the Barnstable PD, seeking donations for the Sgt. Sean Gannon fund.
Barnstable Police want to remind residents they never solicit money over the phone.
If you receive such a phone call, police say do not provide any personal or financial data. Just hang up.
