WWP Soldier Ride Cape Cod Kicks Off Today

The 8TH Annual Wounded Warrior Project Soldier Ride Cape Cod gets underway today. The multi-day cycling experience provides Wounded Warrior Project members with the opportunity to use cycling and the bonds of service to overcome physical, mental, and emotional injuries of war.

Fifty wounded American veterans will be taking part in this year’s event. Today, the Warriors, riding specially adapted bicycles, will start at 9:30 a.m. at Shining Sea Bikeway on County Road in North Falmouth and head to Woods Hole where they will turn around and return to the starting point.

On Friday, they will start at the Cape Cod Rail Trail in Dennis at Route 134 at 8 a.m. and ride to Nickerson State Park, turn around, and return to the starting point.

Members of the Yarmouth, Barnstable, Dennis, Falmouth and other Police Department, as well as Police Officers, Firefighters, and other First Responders and special guests from all across Cape Cod and Islands will be taking part in and supporting this event.
