Two people suffered serious injuries Thursday morning in a two vehicle crash on Route 6 in Wellfleet.
It happened shortly after 11 a.m. near the intersection of Route 6 and Marconi Beach Road when a Jeep Grand Cherokee heading towards Provincetown crossed the double-yellow line, striking an oncoming Cape Cod Redi-Mix cement truck.
Wellfleet and Eastham first responders found the Jeep had suffered extensive front end damage and the driver trapped inside.
The cement truck was in the woods with the driver seriously injured.
Both operators were extricated from their vehicles and taken to Cape Cod Hospital. Their identities and injuries were not disclosed.
Wellfleet Police and members of the Cape Cod Regional Accident Reconstruction team are investigating the crash.
