Dangerousness Dog Hearing in Sandwich

Officials in Sandwich next week will decide the fate of a pit bull mix that attacked another dog and injured at least two people who tried to intervene.

The dog, “Bubba”, was being walked by Elizabeth Hiatt, 62, of Forestdale, a neighbor of the dog’s owners. When Bubba saw another dog being walked on the other side of the street he broke free from Hiatt and attacked the other dog. That dog’s owner, Wayne Cobb, was injured trying to save his 13-year old dog from the attack and Hiatt was also injured as she tried to intervene.

The dangerousness hearing is set for October 25 at the Sandwich Council on Aging at 270 Quaker Meetinghouse Road.
