Two people suffered serious injuries in a single car crash on Route 495 in Wareham.
Mass State Police from the Bourne barracks responded to the crash around 1:30 Tuesday afternoon and found a 2016 Dodge Challenger that had been traveling north on 495 had – for some as yet known reason – left the highway, hitting a tree in the median.
The driver of the car, a 30-year old man from Hyannis was taken to Tobey Hospital in Wareham. His passenger, a 29-year old woman from Barnstable, was taken to Rhode Island Hospital. Both individuals suffered serious injury in the crash which remains under investigation.
