A volunteer in the Nantucket Public School system has been arrested- charged with child rape and other offenses.
The School Superintendent Elizabeth Hallet says no students were involved in any of the allegations against the volunteer.
Dr Hallet says that the volunteer had cleared all the districts background checks.
Hallet says that counselors will be available to students and staff if needed.
She is directing any questions to Nantucket Police and they have not commented.
