Report: Barnstable County Losing Year-Round Population

Barnstable County is losing year-round population especially on the lower Cape.

According to a report on the website takingthekids.com, communities most affected by high housing costs and rising property taxes are Chatham, Orleans and Truro.

Also, despite having one of the lowest property tax rates in the state, soaring property values on Nantucket have reportedly priced out many island families.
