Mashpee Extends Date For New Pickleball Requirement

The Town of Mashpee is extending the date for implementing noise suppressing pickleball equipment.

Players using town courts now have until August 13th instead of this Saturday to as the deadline to use a Vortexball EVO to limit noise.

Officials say they are allowing the extension so players have time to buy the lower-noise balls.

The Mashpee Recreation Department is also researching the availability of the balls that meet the requirement.
