Seven Dolphins Released After Wellfleet Stranding

Seven common dolphins are back in the ocean after becoming stranded in Loagy Bay on Monday morning.

Rescue crews safely removed the dolphins from the stranding site, then evaluated and treated each animal before transporting them to Herring Cove in Provincetown.

The dolphins were released back into the water later in the afternoon.

Experts say Cape Cod is one of the world's most common areas for dolphin strandings because of its tidal flats and complex coastline.
