The Barnstable County Board of Regional Commissioners gathered at Yarmouth Town Hall Wednesday as part of the county's Meetings in the Community initiative.
Commissioners met with Yarmouth town leaders to discuss a number of local issues including ongoing infrastructure and environmental initiatives.
Yarmouth Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Mary Vilbon gave an update on operations at the Route 6 Cape Cod Welcome Center, which recently opened for the season and representatives from Healthy Aging Cape Cod discussed efforts to help residents age safely and independently in their communities.
County Dredge Director Ken Cirillo and Friends of Bass River Executive Director Rick Bishop updated an emerging coastal resiliency initiative that explores the use of dredged material to restore eroding salt marsh habitat in Bass River.
