The Mashpee Police Patrol Union has voted No Confidence in Chief of Police Scott Carline.
The union says the vote is based on ongoing concerns including leadership, transparency, fairness, accountability and the overall administration of the department.
Union members say a significant concern is the Chief's "repeated avoidance of accountability" for decisions made under his authority and the "lack of initiative and leadership" within the department.
The union requests that the appropriate governing authority reviews the concerns and corrective action is taken to restore professionalism, accountability, fairness, trust and effective leadership within the department.
The Chief has not commented.
