A Bourne High School student is accused of having a knife in school Thursday morning.
Bourne Police Department School Resource Officers responded after staffers reported the incident.
The student brought a folding pocketknife to school which they claimed to have used while fishing the previous night Based upon initial interviews,
it appears that the student was involved in two verbal altercations with other students and pulled out the knife.
The student then went to the office and gave the knife to school staffers.
Police are investigating the incident as a criminal matter.
