A Sandwich man is expressing his gratitude for being able to compete in the Paralympic Winter Games in Italy.
Sean O'Neill competed as part of the five-member U.S. Wheelchair Mixed Curling team.
He says finishing off the podium wasn't what the team had envisioned, but the overall experience and pride he felt for his fellow American competitors' success was extremely emotional.
O'Neill is the fourth Paralympian to emerge from the Cape Cod Curling Club in Falmouth.
He plans to do some sightseeing in Italy before returning home.
