Marconi Beach Stairway Survives Blizzard

The stairway leading to Marconi Beach in Wellfleet appears to have barely survived the effects of the blizzard last month.

Rangers from the National Park Service recently packed in some extra sand around the risers and cleared sand from the upper stairs that accumulated when a few feet of the bluff were swept into the sea by the storm.

Officials are thankful the stairway survived as it had to be replaced in 2024 and `25 because of storm damage.

A U.S. Geological Survey weather station wasn't as fortunate and needs repairs.
