Barnstable Considers Tobacco Regulation Changes

Barnstable will hold a public hearing later this month on proposed changes regarding the sale of tobacco products.

The hearing is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, February 24th at Town Hall.

The regulation changes focus on self-rolling products, flavor enhancers and sale locations without an indoor component.

The regulations would also refuse permits for offenders that repeatedly sell tobacco and nicotine to anyone under the age of 21 or sellers that attempt to set up within 500 feet of elementary or secondary schools.
