The Edgartown Highway Department will begin renovating the drainage and sewer infrastructure along Main Street today.
According to the Vineyard Gazette, Highway Superintendent Allan DeBettencourt has told the select board that his crew will be repaving the road and rebuilding storm water catch basins at various locations from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m.
He says Main Street will be open to traffic, the construction will not interfere with the April 8th town meeting or the April 10th elections.
DeBettencourt says the roadway may be shut down for a time when the repaving process starts on April 14th.
