State climate grants are coming to Martha’s Vineyard.

Three million dollars in grants are being made available through the Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness Planning Two-Point-Oh Program.

Twenty-three communities, along with three regional groups will share in the funding, which may be used for climate resistance, analysis and best practices for protecting homes from the impact of climate change.

Nearly all municipalities in Massachusetts take part in the MVP program.

Governor Maura Healey says the grants are crucial and allow communities to have an equitable voice about climate resilience.
