Alleged Drunken Boater Runs Aground On Vineyard

A 32-year-old Cotuit man will be answering charges of operating a boat under the influence after running his vessel aground on Martha's Vineyard.

A state trooper and Edgartown police found the 43-foot Hinckley Sport Boat stranded on a beach at Chappaquiddick Island late Friday night.

Riley Blizard allegedly failed a field sobriety test and was arrested at the scene.

He and a passenger told police the crash was the result of a navigational error.
