Reuse of Joint Base Cape Cod Land Considered

Bourne officials have had the first of a planned series of meetings with the Massachusetts Development Finance Agency, regarding Joint Base Cape Cod.

Under consideration is the redevelopment and re-purposing of about 200 acres of land for housing and non-military use.

Town Administrator, Marlene McCollem, recently told the Select Board that engagement will be required.

The proposal may be considered by JBCC at its next Military Civilian Community Council meeting, set for February 28th.
