Avangrid and Copenhagen Infrastructure officials will meet later today to welcome the arrival of the DEMES’s Wind Turbine Installation Vessel the Sea Installer.

It will be docking in Salem.

The 430 foot long- 150 foot wide is a heavy list jack vessel that can lift itself out of the water to over 300 feet high and will assist in the continued building of wind turbines in Martha's Vineyard.

It will assist in the lifting of more than 16 hundred tons of tower sections and blades for each turbine.
