Duck Hunters Rescued In Chatham

Four duck hunters and a dog were rescued after a 911 call from one of the hunters said their boat was sinking in Chatham harbor early Tuesday afternoon.

The caller said that two of the four onboard were in the water with the dog, Deputy Fire Chief Justin Tavano said in a release.

They were wearing waders but did not have personal flotation devices.

Crews reached the hunters just before 12:30; they were taken ashore for evaluation and no serious injuries were reported.

Meanwhile on Monday, some hunters in Barnstable harbor required rescue by the Coast Guard.
