Half-Million-Dollar State Grant For Herring River Estuary Project

Governor Baker's administration last week announced grants for an ecological restoration project on the Outer Cape. Half-a-million-dollars is going towards the Herring River Estuary Restoration Project in Truro and Wellfleet. The governor's office says the grant is anticipated to leverage about one-million dollars in additional federal funding. Officials say the Herring River project is the largest coastal river and wetland restoration ever managed in Massachusetts and the northeastern U.S.
