The Conservation Law Foundation is petitioning NOAA to ban Atlantic Cod Fishing.
The Foundation says over fishing is the problem. The petition seeks a moratorium on fishing until such a time that the cod fishing increases.
The experts say that overfishing has been an issue for years.
No word on when the people at NOAA will take up the petition.
