The Department of Transportation says its initial inspection of the Old Bass River Bridge is over and the travel lanes leading to the structure are open. But the bridge itself will remain closed.
The bridge was struck by a tractor trailer that was carrying a construction lift when it hit the bridge sending debris flying.
A driver was hurt in the crash and was at last report still hospitalized.
Officials hope to be able to get the bridge opened tomorrow or Thursday.
