Vineyard Wind Letter Sent To Interior, Commerce Department Heads

Federal lawmakers are urging the Trump administration to keep the Vineyard Wind project moving forward. A letter was sent last week by Cape Cod Congressman Bill Keating and others to the heads of the U.S. Department of the Interior and Commerce Departments. It says it is important for the departments to consider the effects the wind farm will have on the commercial fishing industry of New England, but that the legislators believe it is possible for multiple industries to co-exist. Therefore, the group is asking for a prompt final environmental impact statement and for any additional delay that may threaten the overall project to be mitigated.
