When members of the Nantucket Conservation Foundation meet for their 55th annual meeting tomorrow, we are likely to get some kind of an idea about the future of the cranberry bogs on Polpis Road.
Part of the bogs were closed last week and one proposal would return the bogs almost 40 acres to wetlands using state and federal grant money.
It may take as much as a million dollars to convert. We will know more after tomorrow night’s meeting.
