Yarmouth Selectmen Recommend New School Agreement

The Yarmouth Board of Selectmen is endorsing changes to the proposed Dennis-Yarmouth Regional School District agreement.
The updated agreement, approved on Tuesday, to be recommended for town meeting in May, would shift more costs to Dennis.
The town has indicated it will drop a lawsuit against how a new middle school was approved if the new agreement is approved by town meetings in both Dennis and Yarmouth.
Dropping the suit is key to getting substantial state funding for the school.
The Dennis Board of Selectmen has not yet discussed the proposal.
