Speed Restriction Zone For Right Whales

NOAA Fisheries is continuing to implement a voluntary speed restriction zone to protect an aggregation of twenty critically endangered North Atlantic Right Whales spotted locally earlier this week.
The zone has been established South of Nantucket and is in place until February 11th.
Exact coordinates can be found on NOAA’S website.
Mariners are being asked to travel ten knots or less through the area.
