3 Arrested in Connection with Wareham Home Invasion

Wareham Police say three people are facing several charges related to a home invasion in their town.

Police responded to the report of the home invasion on Choctaw Drive on Tuesday shortly after 5 p.m. At the scene a male victim reported that two males and a female had broken into the home and began beating him with baseball bats and stole his wallet. Police say a second victim was also struck numerous times.

Wareham Police Detectives quickly identified the suspects and obtained search warrants.

Wareham officers and troopers from the State Police Violent Apprehension Section arrested 30-year old Katherine Greene at her residence at 31 Dry Cedar Swamp Road in Bourne. Shortly after that the detectives arrested another suspect, 24-year old Jeffrey Johnson at his residence 16 Catherine Court in East Wareham. A third suspect, 38-year old Daniel Russ of Marstons Mills was arrested by State Police on Route 195 in Marion Wednesday night just before 8:30.  Russ is being held on $100,000 cash bail and will be arraigned today in Wareham District Court.

In addition to the arrests, detectives confiscated the weapons believed to be used in the home invasion. Police say this incident was not random and the victims refused medical assistance. The two suspects were taken to Wareham District Court for arraignment after being processed at police headquarters.
