Man Arrested for Attempting to Rob Chick-Fil-A

A Sandwich man has been arrested after attempting to rob the Chick-Fil-A in Hyannis with a knife – at the drive-up window.

Barnstable Police were alerted to the attempt Thursday night around 9:45. The caller gave police a physical description of a white male in his twenties, who approached the drive-up window on foot, holding a knife and demanding money. Employees refused to give the suspect money and he ran off up Route 132.

Responding officers located the subject walking north on Route 132. He was identified as 20-year old Cole Reissner of Sandwich, a former employee of Chick-Fil-A. He was placed under arrest and charged with Attempting to Commit a Crime; Armed Robbery while Masked.

Reissner was held at the Barnstable Police Station on $2500 cash bail and then transported to Barnstable District Court on 11/16/18 for arraignment.
