Recent extreme high tides and subsequent erosion has forced the Cape Cod National Seashore to close the stairs at Marconi Beach in Wellfleet. The CCNS posted on social media that the lower level of stairs has been left unstable and as a result, the access road to Marconi has been closed.
The stairs were just rebuilt prior to the 2018 beach season.
