Governor Charlie Baker and Lt. Governor Karyn Polito will be in Falmouth this morning. They will be joined by mental health and substance use specialists from non-profit Gosnold as well as Police, Fire, and EMS Chiefs, The Barnstable County Sheriff’s Office and other stakeholders in the battle against opioid addiction and the steps the Commonwealth has taken to eradicate it.
The gathering takes place at the Falmouth Arts Center on Gifford Street.
Later, they will join Secretary of Energy and Environmental Affairs Matthew Beaton at the Cape Cod Commission’s 2018 OneCape Summit. This annual two day summit brings together municipal staff, local elected officials and industry leaders to discuss the environment, community and economic resilience. That event is taking place at the Waquassett Resort and Golf Club in Harwich.
