Barnstable County Real Estate Data for July Mixed

Barnstable County’s real estate figures for July shows a slight drop in volume but an increase in total value of sales.

County Register of Deeds, John Meade, says volume dropped 1.4% over the same period a year ago. Total value, however, jumped 4.5%. The median individual property sale value was up 5.6% from July of 2017.

Mortgage activity last month dropped 8.9% from last July’s figure, which Meade says could reflect rising interest rates.
