Close Encounters of the Fin Kind

Another picture is being shared of a great white shark getting too close for comfort.

A spotter pilot for the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy captured a photo of a group of surfers near the shark at Lecount Hollow Beach in Wellfleet.

A paddleboarder was photographed by a drone with a shark just feet away last weekend.

A pair of great white shark sightings were reported on Nauset Beach on Sunday, according to the White Shark Conservancy's Sharktivity app.

One was a confirmed sighting on the north end of the beach about 30 to 40 yards offshore, while the second was an unconfirmed sighting of a shark eating a seal, no more than 50 feet from the shore, further south on Nauset.

On Monday afternoon, swimmers at Marconi beach in Wellfleet were called out of the water for about an hour after a confirmed sighting of a great white shark around 1:30.
