STEEP Science Day in Hyannis

The annual STEEP Science Day takes place today in Hyannis.

STEEP is an acronym for Sources, Transport, Exposure & Effects of PFASs.

The STEEP Superfund research team, comprised of the University of Rhode Island, Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, and the Silent Spring Institute, in partnership with the Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition and Sierra Club of Cape Cod Group will focus on the science of hazardous chemicals called PFASs and their occurrence in our drinking water supplies; across the country and here on Cape Cod.

Today’s events will include project updates from the STEEP team, a film screening, and a tour of the Hyannis Water System facility.
