A 3-alarm fire Sunday in Osterville resulted in a home at 22 Sea View Avenue suffering significant damage and the death of the family dog.
The occupants of the house were able to escape injury.
Arriving firefighters from the Centerville-Osterville-Marstons Mills department quickly called for assistance upon seeing flames shooting out of the 2-story, 4,000 square foot home. Crews from Barnstable, West Barnstable, Cotuit, Mashpee, Hyannis, and Joint Base Cape Cod provided mutual aid.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
