The Barnstable District Court has a new judge and he’s quite familiar with Cape Cod.
Assistant District Attorney Edward Lynch, 52, received unanimous approval from the Governor’s Council on Wednesday.
Lynch has been a prosecutor and also a criminal defense attorney in the 24 years he has practiced law.
He will be sworn in by the end of the month and then spend several months undergoing training at various courts in the state.
