The extreme heat watch is now upgraded to a warning for all of Massachusetts, except the Cape and Islands.
It's in effect from now through eight p.m. Saturday.
The worst of the heat and humidity will be today and Friday with "feel like" temperatures up to 115-degrees.
Forecasters warn there will be very little relief at night. Precautions are advised to avoid heat-related illnesses.
Meantime, with dangerous heat in the forecast a cooling center will be available tomorrow and Friday in Sandwich.
The Center for Active Living will be open from eight a.m. to eight p.m. tomorrow and ten a.m. to eight p.m. Friday.
However, the building will be closed Saturday in observance of the Fourth of July holiday. T
own officials said updates will be provided it its determined that other cooling centers are necessary.
