State Representative Steve Xiarhos has posted an update on Cape Cod's ongoing storm recovery efforts.
He says heavy equipment has now been deployed and towns are making steady progress clearing the roads and making sure there's safe access for utility crews.
Xiarhos says Tuesday was the first day that winds did not pose any major safety issues and that allowed the power restoration efforts to ramp-up fully.
He says utility crews from across New England are assisting, along with personnel from Michigan, Ohio, and other states.
Xiarhos says the work continues to restore power as quickly and safely as possible.
