Paving work will take place today on a portion of Ocean Street in Hyannis.
It will affect the roadway from Gosnold Street to the eastern end of Hawes Avenue.
In addition to paving, work crews will be updating the water main and creating a new entrance to Kalmus Beach.
Traffic will shift to an alternating single lane while the contractors work from 7 a.m. until around to 3:30 pm, weather permitting.
The work is part of the Ocean Street and Gosnold Street Improvement Project.
