The Commonwealth of Massachusetts is reminding the public that the Cape Cod region is in a Level 2 - Significant Drought due to ongoing dry conditions and below-average rainfall.
As a result of the conditions, the Town of Orleans is extending its watering limits to the end of the year.
Outdoor watering is limited to handheld hoses or cans, two days a week and only between 5 p.m. until 9 a.m.
The Town says the limits are mandatory and enforceable.
