Outer Cape Health Services has changed the name of walk-in care services at the Provincetown location.
The service that was known as Urgent Care is now called the Primary Care Walk-In Clinic.
The change is not a reduction or elimination of services and patients will still have access to same-day, unscheduled care for non-emergency medical conditions that require prompt attention.
Officials say the update ensures compliance with Massachusetts health regulations and aligns with billing and reimbursement processes.
Established primary care patients will continue to pay their usual office visit copay.
