West Nile Virus has been detected in a mosquito sample collected in Falmouth.
The sample was taken on Tuesday in the area of Woods Hole Road.
The Falmouth Health Department says the location of the positive sample is routinely treated by the Cape Cod Mosquito Control Project and it will remain an area of focus during mosquito season.
The Health Department says the last positive West Nile mosquito sample detected in Falmouth was in 2024.
