Warren Group: Home Prices Continue To Rise Across State, Region

The Warren Group is out with its latest housing data. It shows single family home prices rose by almost five percent year over year. The median price in the state is 666 thousand dollars.

On The Cape, the report shows that in Barnstable County, the number of sales dropped by about nine percent, while median prices soared to 750 thousand dollars.

In Dukes County, officials say there were slightly more new home sales. But that the median price dropped to just under 1 point 2 million dollars.

Nantucket County saw more home sales while the median price also increased by nearly 20 percent to more than two point three million dollars.

Barnstable proper saw a slight decline in the number of sales. The median price dropped by nearly 2 percent to 925 thousand dollars.

In Hyannis, officials say that the number of housing sales went down by about a third, year over year. The median price dropped to 540 thousand dollars.
